Social networks are becoming an increasingly important element within the marketing mix and more and more brands are recognising the potential of using widgets and applications to interact with consumers.

This is a Facebook application which allows you to create your dream dinner party by dragging famous faces onto a dinner party scene. You can also mask off the faces of your friends on Facebook and add them to the party. There are also facilities to send the party to your friends (at which point they can rearrange or change the guests) and for other Facebook users to rate the party.

To get the most from Facebook widgets, you need to utilise the Facebook user database so when choosing an agency, it's always important to look at whether they have experience of interfacing with that central database.
