Touch, Tempt and Tease

The Sugababes are one of the best selling girl bands in the UK. As well as being chart-toppers, their brand extends out into fragrances with a trio of scents representing each of the band members.

Client Objective:

When The Sugababes launched a new selection of perfumes, we were tasked with providing a social media and noise generation campaign to promote and inform the audience about the range of fragrances.

Agency Activity:

Having worked extensively with Kylie Minogue we were able to take our expertise of celebrity branding and apply it to this project. Absolutely key to this project was informing the audience about the range as it was a completely new venture for the Sugababes. The perfume range contains a different fragrance for each member of the group based on their personalities. We created a Facebook application that would let users find out which perfume is right for them in the ‘tease, tempt and touch’ range by answering some simple questions.

The campaign is very graphically led, featuring imagery of the Sugababes and the interface allows users to purchase the perfume too.

Results:

Facebook traffic increased exponentially as well as time on page, as soon as the app was launched. On this brand new Facebook page, we achieved over 1700 "likes" with no additional marketing spend.
