Really Honest Quiz
UKTV is an independent commercial joint venture, between BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, and Scripps Networks International which attracts over 39 million viewers each month to channels including Dave, Gold, Alibi and Really.
TAMBA are regularly engaged by UKTV to promote their key programmes and seasons. In this project we were tasked with the promotion of the ‘Sex’ season for the ‘Really’ channel. The campaign would need to raise awareness of the season whilst providing an engaging experience for the user. Due to the content of the season, we had to take great care in ensuring the campaign was presented in an appropriate way for the audience.
Our creative vision for this campaign was to create a Facebook app that was cheeky and whimsical in its approach to the subject matter. We wanted to create maximum appeal with an adult audience. The resulting campaign was the “Really Honest Sex Quiz.” This application had a ‘spin the bottle’ interface and would ask the user a series of sex related questions with tongue firmly in cheek. The questions would relate to the bedroom habits of the user. The results taken would be anonymous, but the application is able to collate all the data to provide an insight into what the UK gets up to in the bedroom!
The application has been live since October 2010 and features as a centrepiece on the ‘Really’ channel website as well as the Facebook page. Our relationship with UKTV continues to flourish with projects completed for Eden and the Good Food channel.
