BRAND REPUBLIC: SOCK SHOP APPOINTS TAMBA FOR DIGITAL DRIVE | 19/06/2009

LONDON - Online retailer SockShop.co.uk is increasing its web presence with the launch of a selection of product microsites and the appointment of viral marketing partner TAMBA.

TAMBA will be creating a viral game, which is due to launch in August, to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to SockShop.co.uk.

Originally a global high street brand, Sock Shop was sold to the Ruia Group in 2006 and become an exclusive online retailer, specialising in socks and hosiery.

The Sock Shops microsites are currently being created for its own sub-brands as a means of offering customers bespoke ways of shopping online.

Cassie Ash, marketing manager at SockShop.co.uk, said: "We are confident that a viral game will create an online buzz about SockShop.co.uk; introducing new customers to our wide range of products and customer service.

TAMBA's previous clients include E-ON, Sony Blu-Ray, Lovefilm, Kwik Fit and Virgin Active.
