Objectives
- To deliver a major public sector portal with an adherence to accessibility and usability guidelines.
- To produce three key customised sectors on the site for three different demographics, unique yet still in line with overall brand guidelines.
- To generate enquiries from young people, educators and businesses for the services offered
- To encourage member sign ups in order to build a marketing database for the organisation
- To deploy an extensive and feature-rich content management solution allowing the client to perform complex functions on the site with ease
- To create calendaring functions and bespoke applications to be used interactively online
- To generate awareness for the organisation and credibility through an innovative web deployment.
Solutions
- The site was produced using Flash, HTML, PHP and MySQL.
- A large scale content management system was deployed so the client could maintain the entire website, including bespoke interactive components at their discretion.
- A member login facility was produced allowing signed in members to view additional information on the site. This included automated registration and forgotten password reminder features.
- Three clearly different but harmonious sections of the site were produced to appeal to each market audience - business, young people and educators.
Results
- The website was launched on time and on budget
- The site fully achieved the client's objectives.
